We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the voters of the Cities of Ferndale, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, and the Charter Township of Royal Oak for their approval of needed improvements to enhance students’ experiences while they attend the Ferndale Schools. The dedication of Ferndale High School and Ferndale Middle School bond improvement facilities took place last fall, and our students have been enjoying the improvements in both their classes and extracurricular activities.
Facilities improvements in other district schools are now underway, with a focus on safety, health, and building infrastructure. Included in projects completed in summer 2007 and into 2008 are roof replacement, parking lot repaving, crawl space ventilation at UHS, water main replacements, and mechanical upgrades.
These improvements across the district have been strengthening our infrastructure and curb appeal across the district.
Updating our facilities has allowed the Ferndale Schools to host regional playoff events, national competitions and become a desirable site for local and regional events.
The students, staff, and parents of the Ferndale Schools community thank you.
The Ferndale Schools passed a bond issue in 2004.
