Board of Education Election Information

The board consists of seven school district residents who serve overlapping terms of four years each. Members are elected at the annual school election.

Beginning May 2005, School Board Elections are the first Tuesday after the first Monday in May.

Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 4 pm is the last day to file petitions with the County Clerk.

Any registered voter who lives in the Ferndale School District (including sections of Ferndale, Oak Park and the Charter Township of Royal Oak, and all of Pleasant Ridge) may vote in school elections. Contact your City Clerk for boundary information for Ferndale Schools voters and for your polling location.

Trustees serve without compensation except for reimbursement of expenses.
