Acceptable Use

The use of the internet must support education and research, and be consistent with the educational objectives of the Ferndale Schools.
Minimum standards of acceptable use require that Ferndale Schools Internet users comply with the following:

Network Etiquette:
  1. Be polite: abusive messages are unacceptable.
  2. Use appropriate language. Do not swear, use vulgarities or any other inappropriate language.
  3. Never give out your home address or phone number, or that of other students or colleagues.
  4. Do not use the network in any way that could disrupt the use of the network by other users.
  5. Respect all communications and information you access as private property.
  6. Illegal activities are strictly forbidden. Messages relating to or in support of illegal activities may be reported by the system administrator to police authorities.
    E-mail communication is monitored for appropriateness.
