The Ferndale Career Center Michigan Works! Youth and Young Adult Program is funded under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).  Our mission is to provide resources, training and opportunities for youth and young adults ages 14-21, which will allow participants to explore career interests while connecting their academic experiences with the “real world” of work. The Youth and Young Adult Program helps participants obtain occupation specific skills, work maturity and soft skills that are needed to be successful in today’s workforce. The program is designed to enhance the long-term employability of the participants. Community businesses are a valued resource and we are always looking for Mentors.
