The Oakland County Workforce Development Board and Oakland County CEO provide several types of employment and training opportunities through the federally funded program entitled Workforce Investment Act. The activities vary in training methods and length of training time, but they have a common purpose: to teach individuals a skill and to help them secure long-term, permanent employment. Eligible applicants may apply for any program in which they are interested. Training programs that are currently available are described below. An applicant may or may not be eligible for these services.
