2011 Elementary Parent Survey Results

In the Spring of 2011, the Ferndale Schools commissioned a survey of families of elementary age children for the purpose of gathering information about current elementary programming and possible future elementary programming. The survey was conducted by the Research, Evaluation, and Assessment Department of the Oakland Intermediate School District (Oakland Schools), and developed collaboratively by the school district and Oakland Schools. The survey was reviewed and field tested by Ferndale Elementary parents prior to its administration. Here is the executive survey summary: Elementary Program Review Parent Survey Executive Summary

The raw data results of the survey were received from the Oakland Intermediate District recently and are posted here on the district’s website for the review and information of Ferndale School District families and community members. All names mentioned in the narrative comments of the survey results have been redacted for privacy purposes. An executive summary of the results is being prepared by Oakland Schools and will be posted with the results upon receipt. Outlined below is a summary of the individual surveys and response information. Click on the links below to view each individual report.

From a next steps perspective, the survey results will be evaluated for the purpose of determining whether or not elementary programming adjustments are appropriate and, if so, in what form.
This assessment will occur over the next few months, with recommendations forthcoming in
January 2012.

Thank you for your interest in the Ferndale Schools.
