

Gail Snoddy, principal of Coolidge Intermediate School, is a master educator with both leadership and teaching expertise including extensive curriculum and instructional training in mathematics, science, and language arts. She serves as a mentor for student teachers from Wayne State University, Oakland University, Marygrove and Baker College. Mrs. Snoddy is the Ferndale District representative for the Oakland County Human Resources Consortium and a Teacher Recruiter.
In the Ferndale Public Schools, Mrs. Snoddy was instrumental in bringing the School Reform Initiative grants to the elementary school level where her entire staff participated in a several-year school improvement project aligned with Different Ways of Knowing, a multiple intelligences philosophy of educating students that continues at Coolidge today. Mrs. Snoddy has been a consultant to the Oakland University reading department, and a member of the State of Michigan’s MEAP science test development committee and currently serves on the Baker College Teacher Training Advisory Board.
