Congratulations to FHS senior Chris Reeves for capturing the State Championship Title in the 215 lb Division 2 wrestling competition!

The Ferndale High School Wind Ensemble was one of four bands in the state of Michigan to be invited to perform at the Michigan Music Conference in January 2008 in Grand Rapids! This event is an annual collaborative conference for all music educators (www.michiganmusicconference.org) See Photo Galleries to the right for pics of the performance and a video!

Congratulations Class of 2007! This successful class earned a combined total of $1,670,476 in scholarships! The class included 230 graduates, of whom 83% will attend college, 4% will enter a trade/technical school, 4% will enlist in the armed forces, 3% will enter the work world, and 6% are undecided.

The FHS Boys Track & Field Team finished 5th at the Division II State Championships. This is the highest Eagle finish since 1972. Jarrod Hamilton is the State Champion in the 400 meter with a metric school record of 49.11 seconds! Earnest Cleary placed 5th in the 100m with a time of 11.05 seconds. Ian Reeves is the first FHS athlete to earn All-State Honors in 3 sports: Football, Wrestling & Track. The 4X100m relay team (Ian Reeves, Steven Heard, Jarrod Hamilton & Earnest Cleary) finished 3rd in the State with a school record of 43.49 seconds. The 4X200m relay team (Dirk Beard, Steven Heard, Jarrod Hamilton & Earnest Cleary) finished 4th. Deanna Emanuel placed 3rd in the High Jump, earning her All-State honors!
