The staff at Ferndale Middle School is dedicated to providing a middle school concept that emphasizes the importance of a safe, inviting, and caring school climate for all students with an integrated curriculum relevant to adolescents’ needs. FMS students benefit from multiple opportunities to explore a variety of topics and interests. The FMS staff participates in the North Central Association (NCA) accreditation process. The school’s ongoing NCA goals include reading, writing and behavior. Teachers participate in regular professional development on themes including bully-proofing, differentiating instruction, and science training.
