Character Education at FMS | The Ferndale Middle School “Character Education Commons” was worked on all year by art teacher Susan Iaquinta and the art club. The commons area was spruced up with paint and posters and each of the pillars in the commons was painted with a word represented in the six pillars of character education. The commons has become a place where students gather before, during and after school for fun, to run the school store, and for students to socialize.
