Opportunities to learn about Ferndale Schools and register next year’s kindergarten students include our Extravaganza/Districtwide Showcase as well as Kindergarten Tours.

Kennedy Tours Principal, Nancy DeRousha, offers kindergarten tours of John F. Kennedy School - location of the district’s K-6 magnet programs: Open Classroom Program and Multi-Age Program. Applications for Kennedy’s lottery are due no later than Feb. 28 of each year; the lottery for Kennedy admission will be in early March for the following Fall.

Roosevelt Tours are scheduled monthly from February to June. Roosevelt Principal, Dina Krause, offers several tours this year for parents of future students to learn first-hand what Ferndale’s primary school provides for their children. Roosevelt serves Grades K, 1, 2, 3.

To register your child, bring three proofs of district residency, the child’s birth certificate and immunization records to Harding Administration Center, Room 1, 2920 Burdette St. Ferndale MI 48220. Four and five year olds whose birthdays are after December 1 during the Fall when they will start school, can attend the First Fives Program at Roosevelt Elementary School.
