When students are brought up to Roosevelt’s Student Achievement Team for academic or behavioral concerns the team works together to make an action plan for that student. The action plan consists of researched based interventions for all staff who work with the child to focus on. Included in the action plan is our after school tutoring support that is free of charge. Parents agree to allow their child to stay at school 2 or 3 times a week to work in a small group with a highly qualified paraprofessional focusing on specific instruction. Every child who receives this beneficial service takes part in a physical development activity, a healthy snack and specific interventions.
