June 4 | Roosevelt Primary School received a 2007 National Schools of Character Promising Practices Award! The Character Education Partnership selected Roosevelt's practice, "Brain Smart Start" to serve as a model for others to replicate and integrate into their character education initiatives. Roosevelt Principal Dina Krause developed and guided the implementation of the Brain Smart Start which also received a 2007 Education Excellence Award from the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB). Roosevelt's Brain Smart Start will be featured on CEP's website, www.character.org, and in the 2007 National Schools of Character publication.
