Ferndale Middle School

Tuesday, August 30th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm for last names A-M

Wednesday, August 31st, 2:00pm-6:00pm for last names N-Z. 

During registration students will be able to pick up their schedule, get their lockers/practice the combination and walk their schedule in the building. 

Ferndale High School

New Student Orientation! Orientation is being held Wednesday, August 24th from 9:00am to 11:00 am in the FHS Auditorium. It is critical that your student be in attendance for this important event so please make sure your student participates. During Orientation students will receive their schedule and their locker information. 

Grades 10, 11 and 12:  All upperclassmen may pick up their schedule on Friday, August 26 from 9:00am until 12:00; Tuesday, Aug. 30 from 1:00 to 3:00 or Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 31/Sept. 1 from 9:00 to 12:00. 

University High school

Orientation for NEW students (9th - 12th grade) is Saturday, August 27th 1pm - 3pm.
Returning student registration is:  12th graders 8/23, 11th graders 8/24 and 10th graders 8/25.  Returning student registration of anytime between 9-2. Student will get their schedules at that time.

Additional Notes

  • Additional classroom specific supply lists will be sent home early in the school year including Resource Room and ASD classroom.
  • Please do not put your child’s name on any of the above supplies.  They are community property and will be shared with the class family.
  • Parents are also asked to donate any amount towards the purchase of “Scholastic News” which will be used in class and sent home.  Actual cost per student is $4.50  (Grades 1st/2nd only)

When will my child learn their bus assignment?


You will receive a letter in the mail with your child's bus assignment. If you have not received a letter in the mail by Wednesday, August 31st, contact our transportation department: 248-586-8890.
