Despite turnover issues, missing a lot of shots in the paint and trailing by as much as 11 points in the first half, Ferndale was able to claw its way back in the second half on its home court for a 52-48 win over previously unbeaten North Farmington on Tuesday night.
6-foot-6 senior Colin Golson was in the paint, scoring 10 of his game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter. Scoring his points in the paint -- an area where both teams struggled to convert throughout large portions the game -- Golson made Ferndale's biggest buckets down the stretch.
"It started off pretty rough," Golson admitted. "… I don't know, it just started clicking."

The Ferndale Eagles Wrestling team continued their winning ways last night at Avondale High School. The Eagles raised their season record to 7 wins and 2 losses with victories over Avondale 49 to 27 and North Farmington 56 to 12.
Last nights victories gave the Eagles a 2-0 League record as the quest for league and district titles begins in 2020.
