Parent/guardian participation and interaction are vital to our students' learning and growth. There are many opportunities for you to be involved in Ferndale Schools. The group of organizations hosted on this site are organized and operated by our fantastic parents, guardians, and community members.
As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) reminds citizens of their obligations to children and provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child while providing the best tools for parents to help their children be successful students. The Ferndale Schools PTA has three units for parents to join.
The Ferndale African American Parent Network is dedicated to helping African American parents by bridging the gap between staff, administration, and teachers. By providing resources, programs, and training relevant to the African American community. The FAAPN will provide a safe space for African American parents to voice their concerns regarding community and school issues. The group is centered around listening, providing information, and taking action on concerns voiced by parents, community members, and other stakeholders.
Transitioning into a new school district can be a little overwhelming. Ferndale Elementary parents have established some groups to help ease this transition.
