Elementary
Registration
Registration is $40 per family.
Elementary Daily Latchkey:
Students at Ferndale Lower Elementary and Ferndale Upper Elementary have an opportunity to attend both before and after school child care. For rates, times and more information, visit the Before & After School link below. Registration forms are also included below for your convenience.
Before Care
6:45 am - Start of School
- Full Week: $35
- Drop-In Daily: $8
After Care
End of School - 6:00 pm
- Full Week: $65
- Drop-On Daily: $15
No School/No Camp Days
The following days, there will be no school and no child care available:
- September 3
- September 6
- November 24
- November 26
- December 20–December 31
- January 17
- May 30
- June 10 (no PM only)
Half Day Dismissals
Several dates throughout the school year have been designated as Half Day dismissals. After School care is available on these days from the end of the school day until 6:00 PM.
10/15, 10/29, 11/11, 1/21, 3/11, 5/27, 6/3
- Per Day: $32
- $28.80 per sibling
- $12 per field trip/per child
Half Day SACC is only available to Registered SACC students
Early Release Wednesdays
Teachers will be collaborating on important school improvement matters for one hour on most Wednesdays throughout the school year. This means school will be dismissed one hour early on Wednesdays (when school is in session). The district calendar also identifies these Wednesdays.
School-Aged Child Care (SACC) will be provided on School Improvement Wednesdays at no additional cost to students enrolled in SACC for the week. For students using Latchkey for the one hour only on School Improvement Wednesdays, and not enrolled in daily SACC, drop-in rates apply:
- Per Day PM Only: $15/Wednesday (Paid 1 week in advance)
Enrichment Camps:
The Ferndale Schools also offer fun enrichment camps when school is not in session (during the school year), including half and full day camps, and a wonderful Spring Break camp option for our families. More information on how to sign up for camps is posted here prior to each camp experience.
- December Break — NONE
- Mid Winter Break — Monday-Friday — February 21 - 25
- Spring Break — Monday-Thursday — March 28 - April 1
- Day Camp — Friday — April 15
Food Service
Lunches must be provided by parent/guardian during week long camps.
