Schedules will be changing in March as classrooms transition from all-virtual to a virtual-hybrid blend for each grade.

  • March 1st: FECC, Lower & Upper Elementary
  • March 8th: Ferndale Middle School
  • March 15th: Ferndale High School, University High School, Tri-County Education Center

Ferndale Early Childhood Center (FECC)

Learning from Home is not learning alone. This is very important for our earliest learners just starting to practice social skills.

Monday

Synchronous:

  • Large Group Meeting 9:00
  • Scheduled 1:1 individualization (max 30 mins)

Asynchronous:

  • Recorded math mini lesson and follow-up activity
  • Science activity
Tuesday

Synchronous

  • Mini Day Opportunity (will be consistently scheduled) 

Asynchronous:

  • Recorded reading/phonics mini lesson and follow-up activity 
  • Art activity 
Wednesday

Synchronous:

  • Small Group - 8:30 OR 9:15 as assigned 
  • Scheduled 1:1 individualization (max 30 mins)

Asynchronous:  

  • Recorded math mini lesson with follow-up activity 
  • Social Studies activity 
Thursday

Synchronous:

  • Mini Day Opportunity (will be consistently scheduled) 

Asynchronous:

  • Recorded reading/phonics mini lesson and follow-up activity 
  • Social Emotional activity/lesson with Mrs. Hall 
Friday

Non-Instructional Day:

  • At home work
  • Teacher office hours and support available 
  • Revisit SeeSaw uploads 
  • PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!

What does Asynchronous mean? 

Asynchronous learning means the student is not live with their teacher, but has learning activities to complete independently. The teacher will provide activities to complete including but not limited to:

  • Online forum responses
  • Practice through district and teacher-specific login programs
  • Pre-recorded video content and assignments
  • Independent projects
  • Papers
