COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION (CEP)
Ferndale Family,
We are pleased to inform you that all Ferndale Schools will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the School Year 2023-2024.
The GREAT NEWS is that under this program ALL students enrolled in Ferndale Schools can receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE each day regardless of your Free/Reduced eligibility.
In place of the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application we still need your household to fill out and sign the Education Benefits Form This form is critical in determining the amount of money that our school receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs like Title I A, At-risk (31a), Title II A, E-Rate, etc. So while each student will receive free meals regardless, it is vital to our other programs that all families fill out this form to ensure we do not see a drop in our supplemental funding.
For more information visit: https://www.ferndaleschools.org/district/food-services/
If you have any questions on the school lunch program please call 248-586-8668.
A La Carte Item PurchasesMiddle School & High School Students may also purchase additional items, using their school account only. No cash, check or other payments will be accepted this year. If you would like to add money to your student’s account for a la cart cafe snack items or bottled beverages, you can follow these steps:

Nuts & Allergens: Safe SnackThis is a reminder that FECC, the Lower Elementary, and FUEL are all nut-, tree nut-, and sesame-restricted buildings. Please be mindful when packing school lunches and snacks that items can not contain nuts, tree nuts, or sesame. Please check packages carefully and review our Safe Snacks list. Working together, we will continue to provide a safe school experience for all our children - and we thank you in advance for supporting all of our students. Read more about our Safe Snack Policy » Please remember, FUEL also has a no-cake, no-cupcakes rule for birthday celebrations. Please follow safe snack guidelines for any birthday celebrations or consider a non-food treat. Book or game donations to the classroom in honor of your child is always a great alternative to a food celebration! |
Medical Authorization and Medical Release FormIf your child has a severe medical condition or allergy that could potentially require medical attention at school (i.e. a food allergy, bee sting allergy, asthma), we will need a medical authorization form and medication release form. Both of these should be submitted to the FUEL office by the first day of school, along with any accompanying medications (Epi-pens, Benedryl, etc). |
Athletics
FHS, FMS & All-District Athletics Pamphlet
This pamphlet was created to show all the athletic offerings for both Ferndale High School and Ferndale Middle School. UHS students are invited to participate in any FHS athletics teams not offered by UHS. Many sports run off-season conditioning and summer schedules including games and practices. For further information regarding those programs please contact the Ferndale Athletic office at 248-586-8740.
Physical Form
All student athletes must have a physical on file to be eligible to condition, try out, practice or compete in any sport and this physical must be dated after April 15, 2023 to be eligible for the 2023-24 school year.
