fecc students created artwork to honor Black history

Our district’s youngest students at FECC are celebrating Black History Month in a variety of exciting ways. The hallways and classrooms are decorated with hands-on projects and amazing artwork showcasing individuals in the fields of art, athletics, music, science, space, engineering, and more! Students are learning about many famous historical figures including Rosa Parks, Muhammad Ali, Langston Hughes and the inventor of the modern day traffic signal, Garrett Morgan. Did you know that the first Black Supreme Court Justice was Thurgood Marshall, and the first Black woman in Space was a Doctor, Engineer and NASA Astronaut, Mae Jemison?!
