families gather for literacy night at Ferndale Early Childhood Center

On March 11, students and families at Ferndale Early Childhood Center (FECC) celebrated Reading Month at our annual literacy night. Together, they explored literacy through multiple hands-on activities including an invisible ink letter hunt, glow in the dark ABC hopscotch, storytelling with props, sensory writing and meeting Mat Man! Local children's author Carol Lomasney was also there, sharing her stories such as "The Best Friend Crew" and "I Grew Very Brave". During the day, we also had a special guest reader, Mrs. Keefe, the a-MOO-zing principal at Ferndale Lower Elementary School!
