This is a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL for students tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 3, for Election Day. Classes resume on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at regular times.
Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can find your polling place and precinct at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/Voter/Index.

FHS Student Council has four ways to support students and Ferndale families this November:
Chipotle fundraiser: Wednesday, Nov. 4, 4 to 8 p.m. at 23123 Woodward Ave. Chipotle will donate 25% of event sales to FHS Student Council and Leadership. Show the flyer in the restaurant, or order online for pickup with code MQ3Y2TF.
Holiday sweatshirt sale: Order by Friday, Nov. 6, at stores.inksoft.com/ferndaleholiday2026. Students and staff are encouraged to wear them every Friday in December.
Diaper drive: Through Friday, Nov. 20. Drop off donations in Room 201 at FHS.
Canned food drive: Monday, Nov. 16, through Friday, Nov. 20. Donations go to Ferndale families and Forgotten Harvest.

Calling all future Eagles cheerleaders!
Ferndale students in grades K–8 are invited to the Youth Pink Out Cheer Clinic with the Ferndale High School varsity cheer team.
Clinic: Tuesday, Oct. 13 – Wednesday, Oct. 14 | FHS Weight Room
Halftime show: Friday, Oct. 16 | Pink Out game, 7 p.m. | FHS Football Field
Participants will learn a dance routine and beginner stunts, then take the field with varsity at halftime. Every participant gets a free Pink Out T-shirt and bow.
$35 per student. Open to students at Ferndale Lower Elementary, FUEL and Ferndale Middle School.

Central Offices (2610 Pinecrest Drive) lost power this morning. The building is closed to visitors today, Tuesday, September 29, and Central Office staff are working remotely.
All schools are open and operating on their normal schedule. This outage affects only the Central Office building.
What this means for you:
Our main phone line (248-586-8651) may not be working. Please email the department you need, or contact your child's school directly.
If you had an appointment at Central Offices today, such as enrollment, a records request or a meeting, staff will contact you to reschedule or meet virtually.
For questions about your child or school, please call or email your school's main office as usual.
We have contacted DTE Energy and will share an update as soon as one is available.

Ferndale Public Schools is inviting students and families to learn about the Acorn2Oak Grants program, a Leadership Oakland and Oakland County initiative that awards funding to young people with a project or dream worth chasing. The next application review round closes Monday, September 15, and the district encourages any eligible student to apply before the deadline.
Acorn2Oak grants of up to $1,000 are open to Oakland County residents ages 8 to 18 and can support a wide range of pursuits, including:
• Business and Entrepreneurial Development — for aspiring young entrepreneurs
• Community Impact — for youth making a difference in their communities
• Educational Achievement — for academic programs, competitions or training
• Extracurricular Investment — for activities that align with personal growth
