On February 9, students at FLower enjoyed a taste of "Motown" music. The Black History Committee presented the first of several African American Music Education events called “Motown Soul," a music assembly which gave all students and staff in grades K-2 a chance to learn more about the music that was introduced to the Motor City in the 1960’s. The assembly featured the music of Motown from the 1960’s – 1990’s. Detroit musicians Deblon Jackson and Al Livingston performed LIVE for the students.
