REMINDER & UPDATE: Please remember the limited entry plan for this week’s home football game against Southfield A&T. This decision was made by mutual agreement and collaboration with the Southfield Public Schools. Limiting entry and starting the game early was determined to be a proactive approach to safety and security at this time.
Unfortunately, our decision is not unique given the recent safety and security incidents across the tri-county region. We expect our next home football game will proceed normally with our standard entry requirements and increased safety and security measures.

Student Count Day for the State of Michigan is Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024!
BE PRESENT, BE POWERFUL!
It is important for students to attend classes as verification of their attendance on Wednesday; It is one of two days during the school year when the enrollment taken helps to determine how much state aid schools receive. Students are more likely to succeed in academics when they attend school consistently. This graphic shows the impact good attendance can have on your child's academic success. Please make every attempt to be present on this day and EVERY DAY!
We will see you BRIGHT AND EARLY on COUNT DAY!

Hosted by the Ferndale Inclusion Network, Friends of Royal Oak Township, Inc. (FOROT) is honored and pleased to present our “Truth Toward Reconciliation: The Vision, Journey, and Voices of Royal Oak Township,” historic initiative. The project involves Part I: A Tale of Ten Cities and Part II: The Phoenix Rising.
Get ready for an exciting cinematic experience when you view our first short film entitled, A Tale of Ten Cities, which offers a true historical representation of a 200-year journey of South Oakland County. This innovative initiative promises to captivate audiences with its unique storytelling, shedding light on historic annexations and the development of ten municipalities from the original Royal Oak Township geographic area of 36 square miles. The short film is an appeal to help raise operating funds for Part II: The Phoenix Rising.
FOROT is a 501c3, volunteer-driven effort founded in Royal Oak Township and eventually expanded its focus to serve children, youth, families, and communities in Southeast Michigan.

2ND GRADE STUDENTS EXPLORE JAPAN
Ferndale Lower Elementary (FLower) students in second grade boarded Mrs. Keefe's imagination transportation on their annual flight to Japan just before the holiday break. Teachers, staff, and parents provided a culturally rich experience for the students in school through various activities. Students learned about clothing, traditions, art, cultural sites, and more! Thank you to everyone who supported this wonderful tradition this year.
