On February 12, the FMS special assembly included a Black History Month speaker series featuring Talya Ashford—entrepreneur, make-up artist/instructor—Charles Baldwin, Jr.—Fashion Designer and local business owner—and Mayor Raylon Leaks-May—the first African American serving this role in the City of Ferndale.
