students explore safe construction models with a homemade wind tunnel

On a fun FUEL Friday, Mr. T’s class constructed their best storm shelters and tested them against a wind tunnel! Student were given instructions to build miniature shelters in 15 minutes using various materials like paper, cardboard, straws, and play-dough. The wind tunnel was constructed from box funs, and students had a great time testing their creations. Hands-on, project-based learning is central to Ferndale Schools STEAM curriculum.
