Student names Principal for the Day

At Ferndale Lower & Upper Elementary Schools, some lucky students ruled the school this week as Principal for the Day! Families are invited to purchase tickets for $1 for a chance drawing. At Lower, we pick one for the day and 9 more to have a pizza lunch at a later date.

Principal Layla Williams is in First grade. She welcomed kids to school in the car line and opened doors. She read a story to a few classes, walked around and offered support, made announcements, inspected the kitchen, and supported the book fair. Layla was also a model of kindness—a very important role that Elementary Principals fulfill every day.

At Ferndale Upper (FUEL), Aurora Johnson and Abigail Miller split the day. Principal Aurora handled lunch (check out the microphone!) while Abigail took diligent notes during classroom observations.

Great work, future leaders!
