On Friday, May 1st, Ferndale Upper Elementary's 3rd-Grade students and 6-9 year old Montessori students attended a performance at the Detroit Opera House. They saw the Detroit Children's Opera perform "The Hobbit." Prior to the performance, the students learned about proper etiquette when attending a live performance, opera in general, and about the story itself. Students were amazed at the beautiful architecture of The Detroit Opera House and the performance itself! Staff were delighted by the field trip, and especially the SOAR-ing behavior exhibited by the scholars in attendance! Bravo!
