On October 30, Ferndale Lower Elementary School staff hosted a fun and engaging Literacy Night. The evening drew more than 100 people. Focused on comprehension and writing, participants enjoyed hands-on stations designed to help parents support reading and writing skills at home. Students and families worked together on creative literacy activities, shared plenty of smiles, and enjoyed delicious cider and donuts. It was a wonderful evening of learning, laughter, and community connection! This event was led by 2nd grade teachers Jenna Swartzmiller and Aleah (Lormin) Stewart, along with Literacy Coach Tracey Yacks. Thank you to our amazing staff for strengthening the bridge between home and school. #TheFutureisFerndale
