Members of the Student Voices for Healthy Choices (SVHC) group—including Addison Huff, Martell Holloway-Brooke, Judaea Noel, and Jeremiah Robinson, along with support from Ms. Tiffany of Communities In Schools of Michigan—presented their student-led program idea to Mrs. Jeffery. The SVHC initiative provides training for students to lead research, plan, present, and implement health and nutrition-focused projects within the school and community. The group proposed collaborating with Detroit Meditation & Yoga to host grade-level assemblies during Mental Health Awareness Month in May, promoting mindfulness and physical health.
