We are proud to celebrate our very own Valencia Cade, Supervisor of Special Education for Ferndale Public Schools, for being awarded the prestigious Spirit of Detroit Award. This honor recognizes her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to coordinating the 4th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Program and Rally, held annually in the City of Detroit.
The award, signed by the Detroit City Council, acknowledges the profound impact of her efforts in bringing the community together around an important cause. This year’s program centered on the theme, “Domestic Violence and the Impact on Youth.”
Valencia shared, “This issue is near and dear to me, and it’s very important that as a community we bring awareness to this cause and work together to end all forms of domestic violence.”
We applaud Valencia for her dedication, advocacy, and courageous leadership in shining a light on this critical issue. Her work continues to inspire meaningful dialogue and drive positive change within our community.
