Former Ferndale student and Paralympic Two Time Gold Medalist, Jaydin Blackwell, continues to shine on the track! Coached by Ferndale’s own, Coach Fred George, Jaydin's hard work is paying off as he has earned an impressive list of accolades:

These awards are especially notable as Jaydin has overcome many obstacles throughout his young life thus far.
Spending more than 20 years in the classroom as a Special Education Teacher and currently the Behavioral Interventionist at Ferndale Upper, Coach George firmly believes that, "Every child should be encouraged and supported both inside and outside of the classroom. Those that are interested in sports just need to find the sport that fits!” Congratulations to Jaydin and Coach George for their continuous hard work on and off the track!
