On January 16, Ferndale Lower Elementary held their annual Peace Walk Parade. This special day allows our youngest learners to honor and celebrate the important work and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
A quote by M. Scott Peck captures the heart of the day perfectly: “Share our similarities, celebrate our differences.” Students will parade outdoors carrying homemade signs and banners that share messages of love, kindness, and unity for all. Together, our school family will march in unity as we walk across the outside of the front of the school.
Families were invited to join us by standing along the parade route, by the sidewalks, and across the front of the school.
