The UHS Pathways Club, a new volunteer service organization for freshmen and sophomores sponsored by the Peter R. Marsh Foundation, kicked off its first service event on January 27th at the Animal Welfare Society of Southeastern Michigan. Students supported daily animal care by cleaning kennels, mopping floors, doing laundry, bathing puppies, and spending time with the animals. This hands-on experience allowed students to see the immediate impact of their service while building teamwork, responsibility, and leadership skills. The successful kickoff event set a strong foundation for future UHS Pathways Club service opportunities throughout this school year.
