FMS's chapter of the National Junior Honor Society sent student officers to the annual LEAD Conference in Washington D.C. This conference is hosted by the NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Principals) and is open to all student leadership organizations in grades 6-12. Finnegan Downing, Cecilia Wolfe and Vivian Eminhizer traveled with Mrs. Guerra to the conference. They had the opportunity to hear inspirational keynote speakers, connect with student leaders from across the world, grow in their leadership skills, and walk away with ideas to lead real change at FMS and beyond. The LEAD Conference offers two days of hands-on sessions, powerful conversations, and fresh ideas you can take back to your school—and put into action right away. Shout out to the amazing keynote speakers: Laurie Hernandez (Olympic Gold Medalist), Bushra Amiwala (Elected Official), and Brandon Fleming (Educator and Founder of the Veritas School).
