On March 2, Aaron Moore, a certified pilot and mechanical expert, visited Ferndale Lower Elementary School to culminate the STEAM video students watched during Black History Month regarding aeronautics and to kick-off March Reading Month.
Students in all grade levels, in addition to staff, were intrigued and engrossed as Mr. Moore read a book about pilots and shared his experiences as a pilot, drone expert, and mechanic. Our students asked so many questions that, due to time restraints, he was unable to answer them all! If Aaron Moore's name sounds familiar, that's because he is the son of Herman Moore—an award-winning wide receiver with the Detroit Lions who played 1991-2001 before retiring in 2002.
