FUEL Third grade student Sophia Goree participated in a Slam Series Curling competitions alongside 14 teams. Teams traveled from as far as Buffalo (NY), Bowling Green (OH), Circle City (IN), and six teams from Michigan. Her team played hard and strategically over the course of 2 days. By beating out 8 of the 16 teams, they achieved the highest reward of: U15 Champions of Funspiel 2026 - Detroit Curling Club (located at Martin Rd. park) qualifying them for 1 of 5 coveted spots in a Slam Series BonSpiel.
