On April 27th, Ms. Lacetia Walker invited students from FHS and UHS to participate in an exciting college exploration trip to Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design, the only Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in Detroit.
During their visit, students engaged in a hands-on design experience where they created their own gym shoe concepts. Each student had the opportunity to step into the role of a designer, introducing themselves, presenting their ideas, and explaining the inspiration behind their unique creations.
In addition to the design experience, students also met a renowned Detroit-based designer, Sydney G. James!
