This summer, Ferndale Public Schools will continue its investment in improving learning, performing arts, athletic, and student support spaces at Ferndale High School through the district’s 2020 Bond Program, Series II funds. Approximately $2 million will be invested in the renovation of the Baseball and Softball athletic fields, while approximately $7 million will support major building improvements, including an addition to the building.
Planned work includes the construction of a new Scene Shop building addition, the addition of a dressing room, comprehensive auditorium renovations featuring new seating, flooring, stage curtains, lighting, and audio systems, a lavatory, and Art classroom renovations. There will also be renovations to the high school gymnasium locker rooms. Work began in March 2026 and is scheduled for completion by the end of October 2026.
These improvements are designed to enhance the student experience, modernize facilities, and support academics, athletics, and performing arts programming for years to come.
