FERNDALE, Mich. — Ferndale Public Schools has named Brittany Mobley as its new director of communications, bringing nearly a decade of award-winning experience in strategic communications, public relations and media relations to the district.

In her role, Mobley will lead the district's internal and external communications strategy, oversee media relations, manage digital communications and social media, support crisis communications, strengthen community engagement and help share the stories that highlight student achievement, staff excellence and district innovation.

"Brittany brings an exceptional combination of strategic thinking, creativity and relationship-building to this role," said Camille Hibbler, superintendent of Ferndale Public Schools. "Her passion for authentic storytelling and transparent communication aligns with our commitment to keeping families, staff and our community informed while celebrating the incredible work happening across our schools every day."

Prior to joining Ferndale Public Schools, Mobley served in communications roles at Eastern Michigan University and Henry Ford Health, where she helped to develop strategic communications campaigns, led media relations efforts and secured regional and national media coverage. She also owns Culturit Public Relations & Design Co., a communications agency that has supported nonprofits, educational institutions, healthcare organizations and businesses throughout Michigan.

Mobley said she looks forward to amplifying the voices of students, educators and families while strengthening connections throughout the Ferndale community.

Every school district has stories worth telling, but Ferndale has something truly special," said Mobley. "I'm excited to work alongside our students, staff and families to share the moments that make this district unique while building meaningful, transparent communication that keeps our community connected and engaged."

As director of communications, Mobley will oversee the district's website, social media platforms, publications, media inquiries, branding initiatives and community outreach efforts. She will also support strategic communications related to district initiatives, including the implementation of the voter-approved bond program and ongoing efforts to enhance the educational experience for every student.
