FUEL Student Council

Ferndale, Mich. — The Student Council at Ferndale Upper Elementary (FUEL) organized and led a K-5 Math Game Night at the school on Tuesday, Oct. 20, giving students an evening of hands-on math games and logic puzzles.

Learning Gizmos presented the event. Students played math games and worked through logic puzzles, building problem-solving skills in a fun, low-pressure setting.

What made the night stand out was who ran it. FUEL’s Student Council planned and led the event, putting student leaders in charge of a math-themed evening.

“Our Student Council chose to celebrate math, and they made it something everyone wanted to be part of,” said Katharine Jeffrey, principal of FUEL. “Watching our students lead their peers and seeing how much fun everyone had while learning is exactly what we want for our school.”

The PTA sponsored a raffle during the evening, and nine students went home with prizes.
